The challenge

ENGINEERING FOR YOU GmbH, based in Villingen-Schwenningen, develops automated guided vehicles for a wide range of industries. Among other things, this site supports the production of the AGV “MAV” (Multi-Sensing Autonomous Vehicle) from Neura Robotics in small series of up to 250 units per year.The AGV “MAV” required an energy source that not only impresses with its endurance, but also shines with an intelligent battery management system (BMS) and fits perfectly into the space provided. Fast, reliable customer service was the icing on the cake.

MAV runs on lithium batteries from Allgäu Batterie.

The solution

Allgäu Batterie came onto the scene and presented a customized solution: the Easy Blade. These batteries are not only equipped with an integrated BMS, but also impress with their modular design, which allows for easy expansion or replacement. Each vehicle is now equipped with inductive charging plates and charging plugs. In addition, “MAV” is supplied with the ALLtrac Plus service charger to guarantee an optimum energy supply. Allgäu Batterie ensured the smooth integration of the technology by providing personal on-site support, and the first contact between ENGINEERING FOR YOU and Allgäu Batterie took place back in 2022, when the first batteries were requested for testing purposes. Today, over 230 blades are in use, powering a large number of “MAVs” and making them global ambassadors of German engineering.ENGINEERING FOR YOU now enjoys the benefits of fast service, personal support and fixed contact persons. A prime example of how tailor-made solutions and excellent service go hand in hand to shape the future of automation.
